Established in 1984 under R.I.G.L. ยง 39-21, the objective of the E 9-1-1 Uniform Emergency Telephone System is to maintain a statewide emergency telephone system providing prompt transfers of emergency 9-1-1 calls to the appropriate responding public safety and rescue agencies utilizing call location technology.
